With thanks to our wonderful supporters we hit our bonus goal of $240,000. While donations are no longer being matched, you can still help us reach our new goal of $280,000, which means we can provide more support to Israel's border communities.
For years, and especially since Oct 7, Israel’s border communities face the constant threat of fires caused by rockets, arson, incendiary balloons and kites.
These fires have a devastating impact, destroying livelihoods, land, farms and homes.
As these communities start to rebuild, we can help them protect their land and homes from any future fires. But were not doing this alone… we have joined forces with Operation Fire Support, a dedicated team in Israel, led by an Australian volunteer firefighter.
They are using their expertise to teach these communities how to fight fires more effectively.
As part of our Green Sunday campaign, our 24 hour Giving Day will raise enough funds to provide the specialised training and equipment for at least 10 communities in Israel’s north and south including Ein HaShlosha, Nirim, Magen, Netiv HaAsara, Zimrat, Alumim, Mefalsim, Eilon, Goren and Yanuh-Jat, a Druze village in northern Israel.
